Hiatus by FTHMLSS
'Hiatus' is somewhat of a calling card for Fthmlss' new album 'Itinerant'.
The record was produced across multiple locations in the Peak District via a mobile recording studio set up in the middle of natural beauty spots, composing directly influenced by the new surroundings. This new nomadic life for the artist was a departure from his usual and this track memorializes the experience in a little over 2 and a half minutes.
Sonically the chipmunk soul samples blend with neck snapping beats and vocal grabs for immediate attention, but for deeper listeners there are nuances and detail in every bar. While he may have been on hiatus from the regular 9-5 life it hasn't stopped him packing in audio delights into every second of his signature vignettes.
