Personal recollection: Zombie Birdhouse Tour, 1982, Tampa show. On the phone a week before Iggyโs visit to our Floridian wasteland, his tour manager stressed to the production company that a dealer should be available for the duration. This was at cross-purposes with the tour's hapless stage manager, an atypically fresh-faced lad, who literally begged us after sound-check on show day not to let anyone backstage with blow. โIโve had to pay for an ounce before,โ he moaned. Poor guy. We ignored him.
