Some Perspective by Galen Curry
Galen Curry, former frontman of Northern New York rock band The Beds and Virginia funk-rock ensemble Ultraviolet Ballet, honors his southern heritage with alt-country debut Some Perspective, released June 18th, 2010. Some Perspective finds Curry supplementing his singular tenor with clever lyricism and upbeat rootsy instrumentation, but it is his penchant for rollicking live performance that is an especially welcome contribution to a genre generally not known for crowd-pleasing theatrics. The truly overwhelming energy and enthusiasm with which Curry delivers his compositions are what make him particularly noteworthy, and what make him a can't-miss live act.
