Written for my Great Grampa, Alasdair Hamilton who was born and bred in Lamlash on the Isle of Arran. As sometimes these coincident’s and life moments happen, my Grampa passed away the very morning I recorded this track after a very long and happy life.

Tommy Walsh’s Jig: Composed by Gary Innes

Written for the 9 times, Kilkenny All-Star Hurler, Tommy Walsh. Tommy captained the Ireland Hurling team in 2010 when I was the Scotland Shinty captain and under the bright lights of Croke Park also broke my nose with his hurl. I managed to return to the field, score 7 points and eventually we ran out 22.21 winners. A true gentleman and hero in the Hurling world and Tommy was the first man to buy me a pint after the game.

The Hogmanay Howler: Composed by Gary Innes

I took my first Hogmanay off playing music in 20 years in 2015 and headed north in our campervan for a romantic excursion to bring the New Year in. Long story short, we were hit with a flurry of snow and we got stuck at the pier in Portree, Skye so had to bring in the bells at the Portree Highland Fuel depot yard! Last Hogmanay off ever!!!
