This album is themed around communal living, as well as creating a form of christian spirituality that is ultimately equaniminous, communitarian, anti-fascist and deeply loving. This album is also about dealing with depression, alienation, anxiety and crisis of faith during a global pandemic.
Sonically, Gelassenheit's self titled album blends symphonic black metal, avant-garde metal, dungeon synth, depressive black metal and coldwave garnished with a bitter distaste for what the world has become.
