Lucky Day from Believing Mirrors by George Wallace

What better way to cheer up a pal that to tell them their ship has just come in – and what better way to say it than with a loping, Beatlesque shuffle which is an obvious nod to three of their best-known? ‘It’s Getting Better’, ‘Help From My Friends’, and ‘Penny Lane’ are all represented here, replete with chunky guitars, orchestra bells, piccolo trumpet, and a sky’s-the-limit lyric. I had hoped some diaper company would pick this up as a jingle for psychedelic, paisley-spangled diapers for Baby Boomers (who will presumably soon need them) but nobody picked up on the idea, so it’s all yours.
