Lyrics
In time, we'll know what came of us
The writings left at home never quite line up
Seems one can cascade into more than enough
Until the difference shreds the truth to the finest dust
Badly soldered limbs barely functioning
Hidden faces grin as moving parts begin to swim
Void of touch, all connectives, spirit even kin
Boat-pushers, rusted cogs built to serve their whims
Reiterated messages unfurl
Scrolls of old untold words etched into the earth
Pleated fabric bordering the thick papyrus curl
Warp the wording ways enough to make the message twirl
We're not the only ones beneath their leather boots
More than what they are we finally start to tear up roots
Their heavy weight will crush us as we put our numbers to use
For each we save we'll shelter with winged roofs
Into my arms, as brittle as they may be
Held under harm, deepened only by atrophy
Convolution sinks it's teeth bone deep into me
Until my blood pools broader than our great seas
Carrion swarm as my spirit is born
Too late for me to wake or for me to come home
Simultaneous I rise as my body falls
Do I dissipate or do I fathom it all?
Breathe in my meaning.
Slowly disappearing.
