Method EP by GLXY

Shogun Audio proudly present GLXY's Method EP. Almost a year to the day from their debut album Research & Development, GLXY come correct with a 6 track EP showcasing the full spectrum of their sound - ranging from mellow liquid soul to a darker, rolling bubbler and vibey 2-step garage.

Featuring funk infused rhodes dispersed across crisp drum breaks and a hypnotising vocal hook, 'New Soul' opens. The hypnotic vocal from Tru Thought's Rhi takes centre stage in 'Sweet Lows', threading lyrics of positivity and escapism over GLXY's brooding, rolling instrumental. Title track 'Method' is built for the clubs, with a modulating sub line charging through snappy breaks. A collaboration with [ K S R ] from Manchester, Breathless is a perfect fusion of the two artists' styles - the Mancunian's effortless flows gliding over the soulful instrumental. The initial idea stemming from a 2 hour production challenge in collaboration with Fabric, 'Wild Love' features a hypnotising vocal hook and ethereal textures. 'Stamina Creux' follows, a masterfully-crafted 2-step wildcard to close out the project.
