Off Days by Gold Vine

We recorded this Live onto tape at our Gold Vine HQ in Whittier, CA. With the help of Scott Asher, Jake Alva and Jordan Flores, We turned the house into a studio, spreading the amps into different rooms as to reduce mic leakage. We spent about 6 hours non stop playing until we did a take that we all liked for each song. But that doesn't mean we made this album in 6 hours. This album has been in the works for a long time now. Some songs are brand new and a couple we've been playing for almost a year now. These songs have seen band member changes, many arguments, many laughs, and a few cries. We were all (and still are) so young when we started this band and as we grow with the band things start to veer us off from our focus on the music.Things like girls, school, work, parents, break ups, etc. But none of those things mattered when we were playing music together. Everyone has things in the back of their mind that they cant stop thinking of. Everyone wishes they could be free from the responsibilities that come with growing up. Nobody wants to work for the things they desire. We hope to convey this message to you when you're watching us play at a show, or listening to us at home, school, in your car, or laying in your bed: No matter how happy you may feel or how care free you may be, everyone has off days. We hope that next time you're having an off day you can listen to our music and relate to how we're all feeling. We hope that when you're watching us play, it helps you forget about all the problems in your life that you're dealing with at the moment. When we look into the crowd and see all the sad teenagers smiling, we know we're doing something right. And with that said, we present to you, "Off Days."
