We always hope that all the evil we do to ourselves and the world will one day become just a memory. The piece is also inspired by the work of the extraordinary artist Balladyna De Tempete, whose work is a manifesto against all the cruelty around us and within us.
GOTARD came into being in 2005. We try to build the mood and atmosphere of our music based on what inspires us or fascination with the era of the Middle Ages in Europe, and ethnic sounds, so it's a mix of different styles, but with an emphasis on folk and old sounds.
