Thus, this song is about being loud and being heard. I grew up in a home where expressing emotions was nearly impossible and even discouraged. My father grew up in Afghanistan during the 1970s. I believe his upbringing and the cultural ideals that were forced upon him led him to believe that communicating your feelings/emotions as a man showed weakness and must be avoided at all costs.

Consequentially, this led to me bottling up anything and everything that I struggled with throughout my adolescent years and feeling incredibly anxious to reach out for help from even my closest friends.

The inability to communicate effectively has hindered my growth as an individual, harmed relationships I care about deeply, and has made it incredibly difficult for me to establish a healthy relationship with my father as an adult. I am in my mid 20s now, and I acknowledge the fact that I must work to improve my communicative abilities to grow. But still, it doesn't make the thought of doing so any easier to approach.....

Luckily, there is one method I've discovered to help with this matter. As the lyrics below describe:

I record my music in my laundry room, and my only goal in life is to make music for you to wag your finger to.
