"I've spent quite a bit of time in the Pacific Northwest; it's been one of the few consistencies in my life growing up. As a kid, I moved around a lot and never got too comfortable with my surroundings because I knew that I would eventually have to pack up my things and move somewhere new; however, my summers on the coast remained the same year to year. More recently, I've found that it really has had an enormous impact on my life as an aspiring songwriter as well; most of my best work has been accomplished while visiting friends and family in Astoria, Seaside, and Portland. I think it's because I grew up there; first kiss, first love, first life-long friend, first job, first song, first tour, and the list goes on and on. That's why I love that small corner of the world; it's my Arcadia."
