Did I mention, I need attention

When I start, I never know
which way it's gonna go
In the end it's always good
if I'm goin' with flow

In the rut, I sometimes fall
and it's hard to straighten out
so I set this guitar down
and I choose another route

And these  days are long
     and the nights are slow
but I like this room with the lights down low 
never knowin' if I'll stay or go
(I always go...)

And I wrap myself in friends when I can
but mostly I'm a lonely man
Someday I might make a stand, 
someday I'll go
