Lost Children by Allysen Callery
After countless wonderful releases Allysen Callery has brought out over the years, Gruselthon has the pleasure of releasing a CD with home recordings from her. Gruselthon X Ray Edition has set itself the task of searching for the essential origins of her music beyond perfect studio recordings. At the open window, on the creaky wooden floor, sometimes electric, the dining table is cleared in the background, the cat meows and a car drives past.
The cover assembled with glue stick and typewriter by our graphic artist Flo. Everything naked to the bone and heavily melancholy. There seems to have been a punk in the garden at Allysen's, who shouted “Take it out just like that, don't do anything else” and “Do you have a beer and a cigarette? I know Allysen prefers wine but always have a can of beer in your cupboard... in case a punk comes along! So we did it, from whom can you learn anything today except punk ... Or maybe Sandy Denny ...
