Heartstrings by Guillaume Doerig

My third album, 'Heartstrings', is intended to make the mind travel, as the tracks have differing recording locations (as with my previous album).
Upon returning to Australia after living in French Guiana, I moved back to Waurn Ponds, this time to 22 Bodega Street, where tracks 1-3 & 11 were written and recorded.
When I moved to Santiago, Chile to live with my beautiful partner Huguette, (whom I had met the previous November) in September 2017, my passion for music and songwriting only became more intense as tracks 5-9 were written there.
The themes I wrote about in this album take a small but noticeable turn from the previous two albums - I write more about people and places that are close to my heart and body in this physical world, without dropping the musical elements of dreams, melancholy, fantasy of the 'realms' or my imagination, which are huge and constant influence on my music.
My feelings of love, hope and melancholy are present as always.
I am also fond of this album's cover art as I took the photo in Bunyip State Park one night in 2017 before I moved to Chile, from my father's car (l'Hirondelle!) when we were out birding together.
