Austin emcee J Shaq teams up with fellow Austinite H Qureshi for this 2017 boom-bap tape hearkening back to the golden era of hiphop. Qureshi says about the EP, "I first met J Shaq through our mutual friend Tank Washington. When I found out he had recorded a bunch of songs over my beats, I thought it would be natural for us to release a project together since I could hear influences from J. Cole, Joey Bada$$, Boogie and Kendrick Lamar in his raps. I think this project shows what the perspective is of a young minority coming up in the Austin metro when they feel like they are the lowest priority (or not a priority at all)."
