Nothing Is by She Is Not Alone

Pulling together fragments from folk, lo-fi, noise pop and computer music, 'Nothing Is' is interested in construction from the practice of deconstruction.

Utilising shifts in tone, structure and a collage aesthetic, genre boundaries begin to blur and reflect back an array of emotions across its running time.

The digital release includes five bonus tracks – the 'Maybe She Knows EP' – that serve to extend the 'Nothing Is' experience; plus, a PDF booklet featuring release artwork and liner notes.

She Is Not Alone is named after the minimalist no wave Sonic Youth song. ‘Nothing Is’ is their debut release on Heavy Cloud Sounds. They cite the following as inspirations and thank yous: SY, SM, Phil Elverum, Swell Maps, Eric Copeland, Lolina, Philip Jeck, Rothko and Pessoa + J, L and R.
