Our first 'LP'. We began recording Chicks in 2009 while we were still in college, just after we released Neon Persuasion. This album took 3 years to make. We drew from many different influences this time around, and learned how to experiment with different songwriting, and channel all of our then favorite bands. This album is much more progressive than Neon Persuasion but still carries the same uplifting and pop-heavy vibe. We were consistently inspired by The Beach Boys, Animal Collective, The Ruby Suns, Fleet Foxes, Local Natives, Neon Indian, Band of Horses, My Morning Jacket, Beach House, and many more! 'Chicks' was finally finished one year after our graduation from University of Idaho and independently released.
