Kumbh Mela is a bathing festival held every 3 years in India, with the largest held every 12 years at the sacred sangam of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, drawing over 80 million pilgrims in 2013. The Holiwater Band first met on a project drawing attention to the health of the Ganga and they continue to share their concern for the pressing issues of water conservation worldwide.
A collective of artists from UK, India and New Zealand, the band blends classical Indian composition with lush, ambient grooves in a contemporary style.
