Sheesh Mahal from Maya by Holiwater Band

Sheesh Mahal means 'Crystal Palace' in Urdu and this piece describes the mysterious wonder of a candlelit hall of mosaic mirrors and its myriad reflections. It is made, mosaic-wise, from fragments of an unaccompanied alaap which have been repositioned to make the melodic phrases.
