Hologram Samwich by Hologram Sam
Hologram Samwich is the first album from Hologram Sam (aka Evan Jones). This batch of Holo-tunes are all self-recorded, giving these introspective (or often only semi-autobiographical) songs a genuine fly-on-the-wall intimacy. You'll feel the smoke in the air of those bushfire summers, the salty spray of seaside hometowns, the loneliness of floating free in space - ideally with a smile and a sly tear waving hello from one eye.
The songs that make up Hologram Samwich swish between solo acoustic instrumentals, Buffalo Springfield-style 60s country pop and spaced out folk. There’s warbly slide guitars, shimmering 12 string acoustics, three part harmonies and lyrics about not messing up god’s parquetry floors with your big boots. That’s what they call the full package.
