140 EP by Hubwar
After 2 albums and a dozen EPs covering a wide spectrum of soundsystem music, Hubwar returns to the origins of the sound that allowed him to release his first tunes almost 10 years ago: a deep and dark dubstep. Acclaimed by djs such as Khiva (Deep Dark & Dangerous / Subtle FM), « Simple One » immediately draws the mood of the EP : dub technics, dirty drums and rough basslines. Second track « Dubwar » has a flute melody that will haunt even the most Cartesian minds. With « Heptabeat », we switch to the darkest side of the opus on which only a brass ensemble illuminates the horizon. Influenced by Berlin's dubtechno and UK dub, as a conclusion, « FLIR1 » should appease minds.
