Fun Times by Humans Etcetera

The past couple years have been fun, haven't they? Maybe too much fun. Personally, I've taken up retreating inside my head to dodge the bombardment of abhorrent shit happening on the reg. It's out there skulking among cat reels and Drumeo content: news of global conflicts, political degradation, social outrage, unchecked consumerism and uncut loneliness. Yep, 'fun' is the perfect adjective for these hyper-tumultuous times. But if I weren't coping with phone/internet addiction like everyone else then I'd just have one less thing to write about. So while staying connected, I tried getting introspective. Some of my music became more meditative, but frequently it went the other way too. Darker feelings of frustration, confusion, and helplessness soaked into the sound of this album. Turns out retreating into oneself is also mad fun.
