As she surveys her poignant and electrifying upcoming project under the moniker Humbird, Siri Undlin’s mind quickly drifts to the cornfields. "At the time of writing and recording these songs, I was deeply reflecting on what it means to be living in the heartland of America, in the Midwest, in flyover country," says the Minnesotan. "There are so many opinions—or non-opinions—about that part of the country. But as someone who’s from there and has chosen to stick around and make music of that landscape, it felt like the time to really dig into the details. Both chill and reflective, “Seven Veils” is a shimmery ode to realizing that dreams and fantasies can become real.
