Belóved from Karthago by Ilaria Capalbo
Acclaimed Italian bassist/composer, Capalbo is equally at ease building hard-swinging lines and improvising on the whole spectrum of the instrument. Based in Stockholm, she leads her own bands and collaborates with many musicians in Europe. Her playing has been described as “bold, visionary, architectonic”. She is also a composer with a nuanced musicality and a special gift for storytelling.
