Hashishian Bluesmen by Imij

The Hashishian Bluesmen met and recorded shortly after, onto a Sony one track, on this day 17 years ago. Today, that live recording is finally set free.

'Swamp' and 'Down By The Way' were recorded live and improvised, by campfire, at Little Kangaroo Creek, N.S.W on this day 17 years ago.

'The Grave' was recorded in 2018 after being inspired by these old recordings.

'The Overhang' was recorded in 2016 and was also inspired by these Hashishian Bluesmen recordings and by Yob's Adrift In The Ocean.

'1852' is an interpretative transposition of a Francisco Tàrrega etude from 1852. A key change was added and new melodies also. Imij plays the classical half.

'Boundary Road Blues' was recorded in 2006 and would be the last from The Hashishian Bluesmen. Originally titled '12 Speed Blues', it was recorded on Sony one track, live, inside Imij's garage at Boundary Rd.
