Penisman by Incest Honeymoon

A follow up to Sexface, and although this album was a furthering of Monsieur Dreamboat's obsession with Al Green, it did see more participation in the writing and production work from the other bandmembers outside of Hunka. Some of the behavior that Dreamboat exhibited during the making of Sexface was evident during the recording of Penisman, but it was somewhat muted due to the frequent sedation of Dreamboat by a court appointed medical professional that was assigned to him after his discharge from a stay at a psychiatric hospital. Penisman sold well over the years and several concerts in the 1980s included extended Penisman jams that would sometimes go on for longer than the playing time of the actual album.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1971, over the next 30 years Incest Honeymoon would go on to record dozens of albums and play thousands of shows, mostly in Europe. Although they never achieved mainstream success they are recognized as one of the more idiosyncratic underground European cult bands of the 1970’s, 80’s, and 90’s.
