The first instalment in a series of concept works focusing on Japanese culture.
Bass music created using traditional Japanese instruments such as taiko drums, shakuhachi flutes, koto zithers, and shamisen, as well as ryuteki flutes, nohkan flutes, shō mouth organs familiar from gagaku court music, and Buddhist instruments such as mokugyo wooden fish and kō bells throughout the entire piece.
This is combined with traditional Japanese folk songs and sutras.
The sutras used in this work are both Shingon sutras.
MANTRA I is the Bodhi Mind Mantra,
and MANTRA II is the Light Mantra.
Listening to this music alone is sure to bring you blessings. Namu.
