Odar

the men in the group were found pressed up agaInst the northern windows, gasping on glass, eyes dilated, too perplexed to remove their ballroom masks,

they were astonished by the sudden disappearance of the people from the vineyard, out there in the dark. This was day six after the maiden seance.

elsewhere in the ever shifting manor, the women walked about like spiders, corsets taut and austere, heads moving like praying mantis. They passed through door frames marked by charcoal. Glyphs and sigils, numbers, rudimentary faces as if drawn by children.

There were doors that led to balconies overlooking the other frontier. It’s here that the women noticed the graves, that they were all opened and emptied.


Day 0

Is Odar, lord of the house or the house itself? Who had sent out the handwritten letters, inviting the eight recluses? What was written in them that compelled strangers to gather in an elusive manor to call upon endangered spirits?

What was the aim of such an operation?

Investigators found the horses nearly a week after the mansion was seemingly
‘Torn down’

the creatures were eating dried grass and vintage papers with musical notations with notes scribbled semi-incoherently on the sides. Several pages were salvaged and documented. Threeexcerpts are detailed below.

/ no one quite noticed when the Neuu musik started filling the guest bath sand dining halls, kill rooms and prayer rooms. Snippets of marimba and stringent Instruments, the trickle of objects, miseries of pianos and horns…/

Night Nine

The men have locked themselves in the simulation chamber, with the women insisting with each other that ‘all eight levels of the game must be completed for the mirrors in the dining hall to reveal themselves as true.

Power was cut off that night, but the fractured classical passages were still haunting the hidden rooms and seeping from attics. No one had seen any instruments whenever they roamed without their masks.

But when the masks were on…many figures were ‘haphazardly written about’. Hairless, blackened skin that shined like petroleum, genderless, elongated bodies, alien brass like contraptions attached to holes in almond shaped heads…

Partial paragraph scratched into a ruined table top, half buried ‘in situ’ like a great tombstone in the mud. It reads thus:


The rite of odar must be the last thing to be heard, on the verge of every ‘odarians great sleepeth’

pulse rates must be a third of normal, like a dying mother.

Each must lay in the shape given to them during the Call of the olderaan, and in the room manifested for them during said transmission.

Day 6

The whole of daylight was sadness, slowness. At least 4 letters described similar events, pertaining to the opening of ’an olbion window.’

One of the first maidens to ‘breakdown’ described being chased by jesters that emerged from a small room.




Endnotes:

The municipal council has rejected notions of ‘a large mansion nestled between a vineyard and a graveyard in the area formerly known as slutter gutt.

Comparison of Satellite imagery over a span of 16 years has suggested altered geological patterns but no definitive structures have been discerned.

Musical notations found have been reproduced only in part and make up approximately an hour of data that can be accessed here:

professors of esoteric musicology involved in the interpretation of the notations have reported long term, altered states of memory and unusual mental phenomena. Datum i is currently being compiled for further investigation. .


No other insight has been gleaned other than the fragments detailed above, of either the phenomena, event or period known as ‘odar.’
