In a effort to unite multileveled compositions with expansive improvisation, these comrades convened at Jon Berger’s on River Road to experiment with and develop the wide ranging music on their first UNSEEN RAIN album as a group. Drummer and multi-percussionist Berger, with old friends Lee Marvin (double bass) and Jack DeSalvo (guitars, alto guitar, mandola) along with multi-reed wizard Dan Willis navigate compositions with roots in jazz, new music and folk and ethnic music with astounding freedom and aplomb.

JACK DeSALVO developed his extraordinary guitar style from a deep immersion into jazz, classical guitar and his own prolific compositional output. He has studied with Bill Connors, Leonid Bolotine, Ariada Mikéshina, George Russell and at Berklee. He is a professional musician, composer, recording artist and record producer for Unseen Rain Records. He has toured the world with many jazz greats.
