1) Viderunt Omnes, composed by Perotin in Paris around 1198, is one of the earliest surviving polyphonic works in 4 voices, or organum quadruplum.

4) Mein Weg hat Gipfel und Wellentäler, composed for solo organ by Arvo Pärt.

The title - My Path Has Peaks and Sea-troughs - is taken from a line in Livre des Questions, a collection of melancholic books by the Jewish Egyptian poet Edmond Jabès. The musical structure is a fractal chain of overlapping waves, of expanding and contracting peaks and valleys.
