In various arrangements with shifting forms in longtime bedrooms and college dorms we move from the offbeat to the onbeat walking to record stores along city streets defeating assumptions we weren't the best and distinguishing ourselves from the rest at the behest of no one but ourselves and saying very well to the hard sells trying to coax people long as they're not evil from their shells and it's never an easy retrieval or evaluation of character out of the canister and about me they just say I don't mean to embarrass her but she's doing way too much for what she is
