A lover's arms and not chains are what's keeping me here
Friends appearing in the shadows, gamuts of freakish
I'm not another weapon for the ones stood against us
Praying every evening that I'll make it the next day
No make of a heroine ever outlines these baggy eyes
To awaken is to compose a unique piece of resistance
Even when I crawl out of bed with no sense or semblance
And sighing I say, with a warmth in my mess of a heart
"Everything is what it is now and what it soon will be
There's no isolation even in increasingly strange worlds
Memories of you all I will carry into death and eternity
Anything that must be, even if it isn't, someday will be"

Within alienated ones there exists a dark purple fragment
Seeds which surely sprout when gulping sufficient water
A rich family's daughter should never nurture slaughter
Her obligation is to spheres of those who aren't strangers
To near and impending intimacy and her defining reality
She sails a dark river from the kindness of driftwood
With vessels carrying the greatest wines of sobriety
Marking each hour with the burning of candles, she sings
"Of all I have been through, I can total myriad lessons
Saved so many times over by my love's intercessions
I've reached a point where I never think of secessions
A narrative of nonsense, but also of undeniable beauty"
