Reflective States by Many Chants a Trapped Secret

Many Chants a Trapped Secret has always been about stories.
Reflective States was recorded with a trashed acoustic guitar which I bought at a yard-sale from Freek Cruysberghs. The music itself is all about chance and coincidence. The idea was to record everything acoustically without any effect pedals.
The cover photography is also by Freek. He sent me a series of photographs while hiking during lockdown some years ago. This image of Mycelium really struck me for its composition.

The bonus track, available upon download, is a tribute to Phil Niblock which I started recording on my birthday in January. I used layers of shruti box and the same acoustic guitar.

Reflective States is meant as a reflection on the self, nature and music.
