Give me your tired, your hungry, your poor.
Don’t throw their wishes away.
To the forgotten, I open my door.
Don’t be angry today.

I have no reason to cast them out.
They leave such troubles behind.
My welcome arms, I put around.
As huddled masses arrive.

Lady Liberty is crying.
She stands there all alone.
America is dying,
When hate has found its home.

The land I stand on is stolen ground.
I must make amends.
From California to the Long Island Sound-
These are sacred lands.
