Hiraeth by Jessie Dipper
‘Hiraeth’ epitomises the longing for home. In many ways it is a love letter to Wales, and the journey of discovering what that love feels like. It is for the in-between places of transit, from one world to another. Capturing lands through voice recordings of various places and people that represent places across the world. This 9-track EP was mixed on planes to Sweden, train through Norway, buses in Morocco and car rides meandering through Welsh Valleys. It was made in and for the journey, from one home to the next, and all the mess in-between.
