Mystery State from Elsewhere by Jesus on the Moon

This song explains the feeling of the very first thing I remember: I'm standing outside, playing in the yard, and cars are driving past. My mom calls me inside. I remember standing there, my parents towering over me, both of them sitting at the kitchen table. They tell me to go to bed. I remember climbing the stairs, which were huge and bare. My room at the top of the stairs had wood floors, and there was a portable radiator heater in the corner. The moment I laid down into bed, I felt as if I lifted up into the air, and I floated out the window. I flew along through the sky and as I did, I felt myself growing older. Finally, I remember seeing a lake below and plunging down into it, where I started to swim. That's where the memory ends. I've asked my parents about this, and my best estimate is that I was about two and a half or three or so at the time of this memory.

Jesus on the Moon is a collection of lo-fi songs I've been recording in basements, garages, and bedrooms since 2005. Recently, Derek Reed joined the ranks and, with the help of a drum machine, we've started to bring the songs to the stage.
