Pomona from Elsewhere by Jesus on the Moon

I grew up in out in the country near a small town called Fruitport. Downtown, there was a park called Pomona. Every time I go back home and see this park, it brings back thousands of memories to me: The carnival that used to set up in the park every year and transform it into a thousand whirling lights and sickly sweet smells; the dozens of family reunions we had there; my sister's graduation—which I couldn't attend, since I'd left the Witness faith; sitting on the grass next to the first girl I ever had a crush on; my high school band playing at the band shell; our family on the grass watching fireworks overhead; the punk rock shows that were put on in the park. This one place seems to capture so many different and contradictory aspects of my life.

Jesus on the Moon is a collection of lo-fi songs I've been recording in basements, garages, and bedrooms since 2005. Recently, Derek Reed joined the ranks and, with the help of a drum machine, we've started to bring the songs to the stage.
