JKriv returns to Rocksteady Disco after a 6 year break for ADAPTATION! This 5 tracker continues J's hot streak on seemingly every great label around the world (including his own Razor-N-Tape) with a deep organic sound, thanks to it being mostly produced in his MPC3000 era. 'Greene Street Lament' kicks it off on a boom bap beat tip. 'Adaptation' gets the party started with lush strings, piano, and a fat bassline. On the flip is 'Total Pleasure', a midtempo boogie house joint with enough sub to rattle your car door handles off. 'Vibetown' continues the MPC tip, with killer breaks and chops for the heads. Lastly, 'Adaptation (Dub)' closes the release with the driving dance floor sounds we all know and love J for. Housed in a gorgeous picture sleeve and cut loud to vinyl, ADAPTATION is a must have.
