When I was walking in the rain with my recorder for this album, lightning struck a transformer less than a quarter mile from me. Plasma fire in a rainstorm is something that sounds lovely. That's the intro on Marinate sound. Tube compressors are also somethings that sound lovely, and that's part of this record's charm for me.
Thanks to my late mother's mother's mother Ollie Rose Gunter for being with me on Child-Man Down. Thanks to the water that passes through and between us all down the line.
