This short work was the first piece of music that I created with Csound. Written and realized in 1993, it uses Risset Drone synthesis and FM synthesis techniques.
There are three waveforms used for the Risset Drone synthesis, which produces a cascade of harmonics...
Waveform no 1 consists of harmonics
1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, and 17.
Waveform no 2 consists of harmonics
1, 2, 6, 7, and 11.
Waveform no 3 consists of harmonics
1, 3, 9, 12, 14, 15.
Written using Just Intonation, it starts with this 12-tone scale for the fundamental pitches, with 1/1 = A 440 Hz:
1/1, 21/20, 9/8, 6/5, 5/4, 4/3, 7/5, 3/2, 8/5, 5/3, 9/5, 15/8, 2/1
About two-thirds of the way through I expand the gamut to include intervals of 11 with 1/1 = 11/11 = A 440 Hz.
11/11, 12/11, 13/11, 14/11, 15/11, ...21/11,...22/11
