As in life we are lingered in debt, what we'll get, what we'll never afford. Turned off tags, all the targetted ads, stayed up as the first snow broke dawn. It's streaming, it's sparkling, it's slush when you first wake up so best scrape more shifts from the store. Soon give it up, all the christmas crowds suck; who'd rather be pious than poor? Who'd rather be cynical?

Jesus is it Christmas already. Jesus how the year slipped so fast. Let the bells ring and the band sing; let's give this an ending. I just want Christmas to last.

The past is a present, it's tense, it takes time to unwrap. It's streaming, it's sparkling, it's fleeting come morning and next week we're putting it back. Who'd rather be cynical, than believe it all?
