Still Water from Still Water by Jon Harvison
Feb 2004, 23 Chinese cockle pickers were drowned in Morecombe Bay. Lied to by unscrupulous men with profit in mind. I watched a TV interview with the mother and wife of one of those drowned. His wife had no idea what he was doing and believed him when he said he was working in a warehouse. His mother thought him a fool for being mislead. Grief can clearly make you say the harshest things.
