Selfish from Neuma's Cry by Joy Morales
"Selfish" paints the scene of a knowledgeable yet naive creature falling from an open space of innocence and crash landing into the World. After seeing firsthand all the horrible things it's heard people do to each other, and themselves, the creature finds itself at times entangled in these actions and emotions. Although dejected that it could stoop so low as to allow itself to be influenced by such feelings, it ultimately realizes they’re no better than the next person. Theirs is a bubble, burst.
