Although the past seems far away
your voices still remain
I hear you
They tried to silence you
but what you saw will not be washed away
You had the courage to speak out
when you could’ve played it safe
You saw beauty
in a world gone grey

You took the hits, you took the blows
All the shit that they will throw
when they fear you
You bore witness to the worst
Coz you could see the other side
You put the need to tell the truth
Above the instinct to survive
In these ever-changing times
You keep my hope alive
You keep my faith alive
I reach into your light
on these sleepless summer nights

So many ways to break man
Crush his fingers, take his land
But you cannot kill a thought
It runs like water through your hands
Some choose to live their lives in fear
Apathy finds comfort here
But truth is music
Truth is sound
Ah yes, I think she’s coming now!
I hear your voice
I heed the warning
Beyond the castle something’s forming
I should go home but Prague keeps calling
A new day’s dawning
