Statik by Kai Meara
London-based beatmaker Kai Meara presents Statik, a new 12-track LP, following on from his previous effort, ‘Morii’ on XVI Records last year (which caught the attention of Benji B, Tom Ravenscroft,
Raji Rags & more). With this latest offering, Kai channels broken grooves and blissful melodies across Statik’s 25 minute hazy trip, creating music intended for late night listening and long, reflective journeys across city nights.
Inspired by ambient soundscapes, spiritual jazz, broken beats and film soundtracks, Statik sees Kai Meara continue to carve his own sound with an immersive LP that encourages listeners to zone in and
listen across one sitting.
