THع ARAB BLцES is Rami Gabriel (oud, guitar, buzuq) and Karim Nagi (drum kit, riqq, tublah) creating an electric urban amalgam of Arabic music and Chicago blues. LAYL ("night' in Arabic) contains live concert and club recordings from several Chicago venues. The pieces range from classic Egyptian & Lebanese songs, to originals, to Arabized blues excursions.
