No I don't think we'll be buying a houseboat anytime soon. We went over to look at one nearby and I thought it was all perfect - messy and slippy and unique and if you're 20 and wanting a fulltime job with the upkeep then it'd've been great. But a quiet easy life is what's called for now.

You only have to read half a newspaper per year to get the drift that everyone is now looking for a yurt in Scotland, no one wants possessions, today is all that counts, all that stuff.

But I am very happy in my modernist new block filling up with maps and books and CDs.
