melancholy lo-fi microphoned ambient. Again. Of the few "proper ambient" albums I've made over these months of lazy obsession I think this is my favourite - so much so that I couldn't bear to discard one/other of these two very similar versions of the same-ish thing. So they're both here. First track is more consistent but more distorted from the original floorboard keyboards - second track is closer to how things were at the start, but somehow right now maybe it's my own less-favourite one

Yesterday, after visiting the dentist, I suddenly decided to walk along the sea wall from Lymington to Keyhaven and back. Considering this is such a popular local walk, there weren't that many people marching about. At one stage, along the quietest section, I heard two cyclists coming up slowly behind me. They were both old - yes older than me - and like lots of old people they maybe didn't realise how loudly they spoke to one another, making up for the other's or their own deafness - whatever.
I heard the man say "is it a man or a woman?" - and the woman said "I don't know". Curiously I was very flattered by this. I have a big beard - which obviously isn't always obvious from behind. And I am bald/shaven-headed - which obviously isn't at all obvious under my hat. However, I don't think it was my head they were looking at. I took it as a flattering advert for lots of walking and slightly unorthodox charity shop clothing.
