Unlike my Viable Systems series with Artificial Ecologies I was looking to explore an eroded landscape that was more to do with degradation, music that is locked into pastiche and repetition, nostalgia, memory, a loss of what once was, temporal erasure, recognisable forms subjected to the flaws of the outdated storage media of analog tape, polar inertia, retrospection or what Franco ‘Bifo’ Berardi refers to 'the slow cancellation of the future'
"With Viable Systems 1 Eno himself might deem it the best ambient album he never produced"
"Some highly atmospheric music, transport the listener to an altered state of consciousness"
"The music resembles the generative experiments of Brian Eno, in concept more than in sound: Overall, the atmosphere is light: these are obviously good-natured musical system"
